Town Hall Meeting set for South Texas Veterans at Kerrville Veterans Hospital


What: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), South Texas Veterans Health Care System is hosting a town hall for Veteran Service Organization representatives, Veterans and their families and to provide feedback on VA operations and recommendations for VA programs. Employees will be on hand to assist Veterans with claims and other health care and benefits services.


When:             Thursday, November 8, 2018, beginning at 5 p.m.


Where:           Kerrville Veterans Hospital

                       Hospital Auditorium

                       3600 Memorial Blvd.

                       Kerrville, TX 78028


Background:   The town hall is one of many VA is holding around the country. The meetings are intended to provide local Veterans a wide-open forum and for VA officials to hear directly from beneficiaries as a step toward improvement and to rebuild trust among Veterans. The meeting is open to Congressional stakeholders, Veteran Service Organizations, Veterans and their family members. South Texas Veterans Health Care System, Houston VA Regional Office and National Cemetery Administration staff will be on hand to listen to Veterans and field questions.


South Texas Veterans Health Care System is comprised of two inpatient campuses: the Kerrville Campus in Kerrville, TX. And the main facility located in San Antonio. STVHCS serves one of the largest primary service areas in the nation providing health care services to 96,000 unique Veterans.
