South Texas VA hosts annual Mental Health Summit.


The South Texas VA is hosting a Mental Health Summit Thursday, 8 August at St. Phillips College, 1801 Martin Luther King Drive, San Antonio, Texas. The formal program begins at 8:20 a.m.


Joining South Texas VA Mental Health Service staff are community partners and mental health providers from around the South Texas region.


The purpose of the Mental Health Summit is to enhance the mental health and well-being of Veterans and their family members through increased collaboration between the VA and community stakeholders.


The summit will provide presentations on suicide prevention, PTSD, barriers to healthcare, managing crises and family transitions from the military. There will be presenters, including a Veterans panel that will talk about their personal mental health experiences.
