Volunteer or Donate

We depend on the goodwill of our benefactors and volunteers who wish to give something back to America's heroes.

Volunteer

Volunteers provide many important functions throughout the Medical Center and help make our patients' stay more enjoyable. Volunteers can perform a number of services, and a volunteer's talents are closely matched with one of our many assignments.

To volunteer, call or visit our Voluntary Service Office. We will be happy to receive your application or discuss how you can help us in our mission to provide comfort and care to America's veterans.

Donate

Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center (PRC):

We've discovered a need in our new PRC for items the patients have been requesting. If you can, or know of someone who can, donate any of the items below, our patients would be very appreciative:

Blue-Ray movies

X-Box 360 games

PS3 Games

Wii games

Spinal Cord Injury Center Patient TV's:

We have identified a need in our health care system for large donations from individuals or corporations. One of those large donations is for our Spinal Cord Injury Center (SCIC). The SCIC has a need for new TV's for patient bedsides. These TV's are specially equipped for these patients needs. We are looking for a donation of 32 of these special, flat screen TV's with a total cost of $26,825. What makes the TV's special is the ability to hook up a computer and/or video gaming system, which are benefits that positively impact the quality of life for inpatient spinal cord patients. This cost includes the TV's, outreach arms (allows the patient to pull the TV toward them while in bed), and wall mounts so that the TV's can be affixed to the walls. The TV's are $625 each on their own.  If you are an organization that can help us, or if you know of one that can help us with this donation, please have them call our Voluntary Service office at (210) 617-5107.

Below is photo of both the old and new TV's side by side. This image gives you an idea of how outdated the older models are.
